The Football Ramble are delighted to announce the arrival of a free, brand new weekly podcast, focused on European football, launching on Wednesday 23rd August and continuing every Wednesday throughout the football season.

On The Continent will be hosted by Marcus Speller, co-hosted by Luke Moore and feature European football experts Andy Brassell and James Horncastle. Its aim is to be the ultimate European football weekly briefing - dissecting the big stories from mainland Europe with expert knowledge (and more than a little humour).

The first show of the season will feature in the usual Football Ramble RSS feed on Wednesday 23rd August, but listeners will need to subscribe to a separate feed beyond that to receive the show every week from the 30th.

Marcus Speller commented: “It’s going to be great to get stuck into European football a bit more, as well as the UK-focused stuff we already do on a Monday and a Friday. With Andy and James on board we’ll have unrivalled expertise and broadcasting experience and I couldn’t be happier to be in Ramble listeners’ ears three times a week from the 23rd. Strap yourselves in, it’s going to be a big season!’

To subscribe, search ‘On The Continent’ on iTunes or wherever you get your pods.

The Football Ramble Live at The London Podcast Festival!

The Football Ramble, LIVE!
The Football Ramble, LIVE!

On Friday 15th September, we’ll be bringing our theatre show to the London Podcast Festival, held at King’s Place in Kings Cross, north London.

Expect all the usual favourites from our live show, and if you’ve not seen us live before now is the time to book - Hall One at King’s Place is a lot smaller than the venues we normally play and so should have a much more intimate feel. Tickets, priced at £19.50 are available here, so hurry up and grab yours while you still can.

Remember The Football Ramble Live is much more than just the four of us sat behind a table chatting football. By way of an example, Pete spent a decent portion of our last live show dressed in a dog gimp mask.

We recently asked him what he had planned for this time around and he replied simply, ‘Chaos. Lots and lots of chaos.’

You’ve been warned.
